For Policymakers and Managers
For policymakers and managers, Patient-Oriented Research (POR) promises to provide highly relevant quality evidence to support policy and managerial decision making. POR evidence can help to bring innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to the point of care, and to ensure greater accessibility, quality, accountability and sustainability of care in Ontario.
The resources below will help you:
- find POR evidence;
- use POR evidence in preparing briefs and making policy decisions; and,
- create/commission POR to produce highly-relevant evidence to guide policy and managerial decision making.
What (else) do policymakers/managers need to know?
The opening presentation provides some links to resources on POR and lists discussion topics for participants.
What (other dimensions of) outlook do policymakers/managers need to bring to the table?
The presentation leads participants in a discussion on what outlook health policymakers/managers need to bring to the table and how they can develop such an outlook.
