Ontario Child Health SUPPORT Unit (OCHSU) Launches

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Ontario Child Health SUPPORT Unit (OCHSU).  OCHSU is a collaborative of pediatric academic sites across the province. Led by CHEO and SickKids, OCHSU partners include McMaster Children’s, London Health Sciences Centre, Kingston General Hospital and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.

The SUPPORT Unit provides clinical research support to researchers and aims to build clinical research capacity in child health in Ontario. In keeping with OCHSU’s role as one of 12 Ontario SPOR SUPPORT Unit (OSSU) Research Centres, researchers can receive assistance for studies posing questions that have the potential to transform Ontario’s health system through high-impact, patient oriented research involving children and youth.  Researchers can now request a consultation with OCHSU experts in clinical trials methods, biostatistics, health economics, and regulatory compliance as well as advice related to administrative data research and data management.
