Dr. J-D Schwalm

Dr. Schwalm is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology at McMaster University. He is an Interventional Cardiologist at Hamilton Health Sciences and Niagara Health with clinical interests in both coronary and structural interventions (including Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Repair).
Dr Schwalm is the site lead for cardiology at the Hamilton General Hospital, a Scientist at the Population Health Research Institute and the Director of the Centre for Evidence-Based Implementation (CEBI). His research focus is knowledge translation/implementation sciences as it relates to the field of cardiology at the patient, physician, and health system level. Dr Schwalm has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and 4 book chapters.
He has ongoing research collaborations with KT Canada, the World Health Organization and the World Heart Federation.
