Ms. Zahra Ismail

Board Member

Zahra Ismail, is the Vice President of Primary Care and Person-Centred Measurement at Ontario Health. In this capacity, she provides strategic oversight for most team-based primary care models in Ontario and advances person-centred and population health measurement initiatives.

Previously, Zahra served as Director of Operations at the Women’s College Hospital Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care, where she co-led a team of researchers conducting high-impact implementation science and digital health evaluations. Earlier in her career, she managed provincial programs at Cancer Care Ontario in psychosocial oncology, patient reported measurement and symptom management.

In addition to her OH role, Zahra serves on the Board of the Ontario SPOR SUPPORT Unit, where she contributes to advancing patient-oriented research and strengthening the integration of evidence into health system planning and delivery.

Zahra holds a Master of Health Administration from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science and Business from the University of Waterloo.
