Maureen Smith has a long history of collaboration with the healthcare system subsequent to a rare disease diagnosis in childhood. She served as the chair of OSSU’s Patient Partner Working Group. Maureen is an enthusiastic, committed patient partner on several national and international patient partnered research studies. She has a special interest in patient and citizen engagement in evidence synthesis as well as pediatric core outcome set development. Maureen is the Chair of Cochrane’s Consumer Network Executive and a Commissioner of the Global Commission on Evidence to Address Societal Challenges.
