Mr. Ron Beleno

Ron was a caregiver to his father who lived with Alzheimer’s for 10+ years to age at home until January 2018. He is known for his creative strategies utilizing innovation, technology, and community to support his family’s life to live as best as possible. Ron is an active advocate, advisor, mentor, and coach to caregivers, people living with dementia, students, innovators, organizations, researchers and educational institutions. In Canada, he is the Co-Chair for AGE-WELL NCE’s Older Adult and Caregiver Advisory Committee. He is also with the Centre for Aging & Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) on their Seniors Advisory Panel.
Ron collaborates across Canada and internationally on numerous research projects as a Patient advisor and sometimes part of the research team as a co-lead investigator, usually related to aging, caregiving, dementia, innovation, and technology. He also recently is involved with Diabetes Action Canada working with researchers as a community lead to help with KT/KM.
